Hello. I'm Jane, and I'm a chocoholic.
I make chocolates in small batches in my home kitchen that combine some of my favorite flavors: nuts and caramel; fruit and nougat; nougat and nuts; fruit and nuts. I gravitate toward simple, natural flavors and look for ingredients that shine on their own, then add chocolate. And then, occasionally, I go crazy and make a hunk of layered sugary goodness and cover it with chocolate. Because.
I'm also an obsessive compulsive scratch baker. I like to combine some of the treats I bake with chocolate to take them to the next level. Crunchy coconut cookies. Crisp spice cookies. Nutty shortbread. You get the idea.
Sometimes, when I'm dipping things in chocolate, other foods that I have around the house will find their way into a bowl of melted chocolate. Sometimes, what results is magic. And when it is, something craveable is born. Something that needs to be made again: dark chocolate rice crunch; praline crunch; Cinnamon Toast Crunch bark. I make no apologies for delicious.
I work in small batches. This means more work, but I like the flexibility that comes with it. I can whip up a new flavor on the fly and not worry if it isn't quite what I imagined. And if it completely fails, the loss isn't such a big deal.
The downside of this choice is that I can't compete on price with larger businesses that make hundreds of pecan turtles a day. My chocolates are simply more expensive to make. They are a treat.
Now, in my opinion, chocolate is like love. It is better when shared. I have been sharing my chocolates with friends and family for over 25 years. At this point in my life, I have additional time and energy to make chocolates, so I am offering some of my creations for sale. If you're looking to treat yourself or a special someone with chocolate, I can help you make that happen.
Peace, love, and chocolate.
